President Pezeshkian: Iran considers strengthening ties with Islamic nations religious duty

President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran views the strengthening of brotherhood and unity with the Islamic Ummah as both a strategic and religious obligation

In a phone conversation with Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al Sabah, the Emir of the State of Kuwait, on Wednesday, President Pezeshkian extended his congratulations on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, the Islamic Festival of Sacrifice. He expressed hope that this occasion would foster greater unity and brotherhood among Muslim nations, contributing to peace and security in the Islamic world.

The Iranian president highlighted the importance of the religious, cultural, and historical bonds shared by Muslim nations, noting that Iranians regard all Islamic countries as their brothers, in accordance with the teachings of Islam and its revered Prophet.

Regarding the ongoing atrocities committed by the Zionist regime against the oppressed people of Gaza, Pezeshkian expressed hope that these injustices would come to an end through the solidarity of Islamic nations. 

In response, the Emir of Kuwait congratulated the Iranian government and people on Eid al-Adha, wishing health and tranquility for all Muslims.

He also emphasized Kuwait’s eagerness to expand and strengthen its relationship with Iran, expressing optimism for a bright future for both nations through enhanced coordination and collaboration.

The Emir noted that the future of regional countries is interconnected, especially in the current critical situation, asserting that the peace, friendship, security, and progress of these nations depend on the unity and convergence of the Islamic world.
